My Curio Corner is a private app to catalog everything you collect or own.
Organize items into collections, group collections into vaults, track values,
attach photos, log notes โ all stored locally on your device.
Data & Privacy
How is my data stored?
All your collections, items, and photos are stored locally on your device only. Nothing is sent to any server โ your data never leaves your phone.
How do I back up my data?
Go to Settings โ Data โ Export Backup (JSON) to save a complete backup of all your vaults, collections, and items to your device or cloud storage.
How do I restore from a backup?
Go to Settings โ Data โ Import Backup (JSON) and select your exported JSON file. You'll see a preview of how many collections and items will be restored. Confirming will wipe your current data and replace it with the backup. This cannot be undone.
I lost my data after reinstalling. Can I recover it?
Data is stored on-device only and cannot be recovered after uninstalling. Export a backup from Settings regularly โ especially before switching devices or reinstalling.
Can I access my collection on multiple devices?
Your data is stored on the device you used. To move it to another device, export a backup from Settings and import it on the new device.
Security
What is PIN lock?
You can set a 4-digit PIN under Settings โ Security โ Set PIN. Once set, the app will require the PIN every time it opens or returns from the background. To change or remove your PIN, visit the same screen.
I forgot my PIN. What do I do?
If you have a backup, export it first (while you still remember the PIN), then delete and reinstall the app to reset it. After reinstalling, import your backup to restore your data.
How do I wipe all my data?
Go to Settings โ Danger Zone โ Wipe All Data to permanently delete all vaults, collections, items, and photos. Export a backup first if you want to keep your data.
Vaults
What is a Vault?
Vaults are the top-level grouping in My Curio Corner. Think of a vault as a category of categories โ for example, a "Collectibles" vault could hold separate collections for Trading Cards, Figurines, and Comics. Collections live inside vaults.
How do I create a Vault?
Tap + New Vault on the main screen. Give it a name, icon, and color. You can move existing collections into it afterward.
How do I archive a Vault?
Long-press a vault and choose Archive. Archiving a vault also archives all of its collections and items. You can unarchive them at any time.
Collections
How do I create a collection?
Tap + New Collection (or the + button inside a vault). Give it a name, choose an icon and color. Collections can optionally include notes.
How do I edit or delete a collection?
Long-press a collection to see Edit and Delete options. Deleting a collection permanently removes all items inside it.
How do I archive a collection?
Long-press a collection and choose Archive. Archived collections and their items are hidden from active views but not deleted. Use Show Archived to view or restore them.
How do I reorder my collections?
Long-press any collection and drag it to a new position, or use the sort/reorder option in the collection list toolbar.
Items
How do I add an item?
Open a collection and tap + New Item. Only the name is required โ fill in as many optional fields as you like.
What details can I track for each item?
Each item supports: Photos (up to 10, from camera or library), Name, Brand, Model, Serial Number, Location (e.g. drawer, shelf), Quantity, Condition (New / Like New / Good / Fair / Poor), Color (multi-select), Size (Clothing, US Men/Women, EU Shoe, Numeric, or Custom), Purchase Price, Estimated Value, Purchase Date, Warranty Expiry, Star Rating (0.5โ5 stars), Wish List flag, and Notes.
How do I add photos to an item?
Open or edit any item and tap Add in the Photos section. You can take a new photo with the camera or pick from your photo library. Each item supports up to 10 photos.
How do I edit an item?
Tap any item to open its detail view, then tap Edit. You can also long-press an item in the list for quick actions: Edit, Duplicate, Move to Collection, Set Rating, Set Condition, Archive, and Delete.
How do I duplicate an item?
Long-press the item and choose Duplicate Item. A copy is created with "(Copy)" appended to the name. Photos are not duplicated.
How do I move an item to a different collection?
Long-press the item and choose Move to Collection, then select the destination. You can also do this from the item's detail view via the ยทยทยท menu.
What is the Wish List?
Toggle Wish List Item on any item to mark it as something you want but don't own yet. Wish List items are excluded from value totals. You can filter to see only Wish List items in the All Items view.
How do I archive an item?
Long-press the item and choose Archive. Archived items are hidden from active views and excluded from value totals, but are not deleted. You can unarchive them at any time.
What is the Activity Log?
Each item has an Activity Log where you can record dated notes categorized as Repair, Service, Purchase, Upgrade, Inspection, or Other. Open an item's detail view and tap Add Note to log an entry.
How do I delete an item?
Swipe left on any item and tap Delete, or long-press and choose Delete. A confirmation appears before anything is removed. Deleting an item also removes all its photos and activity log entries.
All Items
What is the All Items tab?
All Items shows every item across all your collections in one unified list. The header displays the total estimated value of all visible items.
How do I search my items?
Use the search bar at the top of the All Items tab. Search matches item name, brand, and collection name.
How do I sort my items?
Tap the sort button (โโ) to choose: Default Order, Name AโZ, Est. Value (highest first), or Date Added.
How do I filter my items?
Tap the filter button to narrow items by Vault, Collection, or Wish List. Active filters appear as chips below the toolbar โ tap the ร on any chip to remove it.
KPI Dashboard
What does the KPI tab show?
The KPI tab is your collection dashboard. It shows: total active collections, total item quantity, total purchase value, total estimated value, gain/loss (estimated vs. purchase), top collections by estimated value, and a warranty tracker listing upcoming and expired warranties.
How is the gain/loss calculated?
Gain/Loss = Total Estimated Value โ Total Purchase Value, across all active (non-archived, non-wish-list) items that have both values set.
What does the Warranty section show?
The Warranty section lists items with an upcoming warranty expiry date (soonest first) and flags any items whose warranty has already expired. Set a warranty date on any item under Dates โ Warranty Expiry.
